How the Parish Council Works

The Parish Council comprises 11 Councillors who are elected every four years. Councillors are unpaid and are governed my a mandatory code of conduct which includes obligations to act in an appropriate manner.

The Council works within a number of policies and procedures which can be viewed using the menu on the left.

Each Parish Council differs in the work it carries out, the work carried out by Wickham Parish Council is through its committees:  Finance, General Purpose, Planning, Recreation and Water Meadows Trust. The Committees report to Full Council with their recommendations.

The left hand menu provides an outline of the duties of the committees together with minutes of meetings.
